SECU $5,000 Student Scholarship Information

SECU Foundation funded solely by SECU members established the “People Helping People®” scholarship program to assist students across North Carolina obtain their educational goals. Since being established the “People Helping People” scholarship program represents an annual commitment of over $5 million, with a collective total of $50 million since the initial scholarship funding began in 2005.

HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The “People Helping People” high school scholarship program will provide a four-year college scholarship to a graduating senior from each of the 370+ traditional public and 3 charter high schools in North Carolina. Each will receive a $10,000 scholarship to be awarded to a graduating senior attending one of the UNC System Universities.

Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the scholarship selection committee. Scholarship recipient information (High School Scholarship Packet) must be submitted by the Scholarship Selection Committee at each school. No individual “applications” are reviewed by the Foundation.
